Inside The Studio
HOW YOUR GARMENT IS MADE
Welcome to the Papike People studio for a look "behind the seams." Papike People, named for the women who wear it, sources speciality fabrics, vintage buttons, and dyed-to-match trims from around the world.
Designer Sharon Papike creates stylish color palettes, highlighting the uniqueness of each fabric, button, trim and style. Details are a large part of this design process. Patterns are then made to fit Papike People sizes XS to XL.
All fabrics are spread and cut in-house. Speciality details and trims can only be accommodated with this hands-on cutting process.
Every Papike People garment is supervised and made by the label's own trained sewing professionals on state-of-the art commercial machines accompanied by special hand-work as well. Once sewn, each garment is inspected and pressed, then hung in the studio where they are sold ready-to-wear.
"GET WHAT YOU LOVE. When buying fabric, I buy what blows me away," says Sharon.
