Sharon’s intense interest in textiles and design drew her into clothing at a very young age. Taught to sew by her mother, she was making her own at age 16. She dreamed of being a model, but soon realized her creative instincts could only be met through the actual design process. It is the arrangement of fabrics, embellishments, colors, and silhouettes that became her passion. Some 25 years ago, clothing became the natural and obvious form of expression for her passion. Armed with a degree in English, she never believed her intense love of clothing design would develop into a lifelong career.

But the business became overwhelmingly successful, with 3 retail stores and 300 wholesale accounts across the country. As satisfying as the success was, she became increasingly unfulfilled. She longed to see her clients again. She missed that personal connection with the people who were wearing the clothes.

Her whimsical nature, fun-loving sense of living, and intense desire to help women look great brought Sharon back to the studio. She is unimpressed by the trends and continually strives to bring unique and stylish fashion to all ordinary women just like herself. It became the greatest blessing of all to meet and know these “extraordinary” women who have become the inspiration for collection after collection.

Currently, Sharon is producing the collections from her studio in Jamul, California and sells her designs direct. She schedules fashion shows in and out of the studio for her customers and their friends. In addition, she supports community fund raisers, women’s charities, and local conferences. If you do not live in the area and have no opportunity to meet her in person, do the next best thing and call her. She will help you find the correct size and style. Wrap yourself in PAPIKE PEOPLE clothing. You will feel good, look exceptional, and love the detail.
